Eugene McClintock

Eugene Jerome McClintock was born on January 25, 1924. He surrendered his life to God on December 28, 1941, in Westmoreland, California; was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ on January 17, 1942, and received the Holy Ghost on June 11, 1942.
He received his local ministerial license with Pentecostal Church, Incorporated in 1944. In 1945 he attended Northwest Bible Institute in Caldwell, Idaho, and was elected pastor of the First Pentecostal Church, Twin Falls, Idaho in 1945, serving until 1947.
He married Laverne Brown, Twin Falls, Idaho, on February 17, 1947, and they enrolled in the Pentecostal Bible Institute in the pioneer opening year of 1947. He was ordained to ministry on July 17, in Bend, Oregon. Completing his studies in the Pentecostal Bible Institute in 1950, he received a Bachelor of Theology Degree.
During his tenure in the Pentecostal Bible Institute, he was elected the pastor of the First Pentecostal Church in 1949 and served until 1960. Along with serving as the pastor of the church he was an instructor at Pentecostal Bible Institute. In 1951, he was elected as the Mississippi District Sunday School Director and also served as a presbyter during the establishment of the Mississippi District in 1953. He served on the Mississippi District Board from 1953 to 1958. He and LaVerne were elected as pastors of the Dupo Pentecostal Church, Dupo, Illinois, in 1960, and served until 1964 when elected as the pastor of Calvary Apostolic Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was elected as the Illinois District Sunday School Director in 1962, and served until 1980. He was a member of the Curriculum Committee at World Evangelism Center from 1972 to 1997. He also served as a presbyter on the Illinois District Board from 1973 to 1977.
In 1979, he was elected as General Sunday School Secretary, and became the Chairman of Curriculum Committee in 1981, and was elevated in 1982 as the General Sunday School Director and served through 1997. In January of that year, his wife LaVerne passed away. Brother McClintock and LaVerne were the parents of four sons: Nathan, Calvin, Joseph, and Mark, finally transforming from his earthly life to that of his eternal one on January 17, 1998. All who knew him revered his friendship and shared in his wise counsel.
