Britt Prince

Linder Britt Prince II was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the only son of Charles Prince and Jeanette (Champion) Spikes. After receiving the Holy Ghost as a teenager following the passing of his grandfather, Britt spent six years away from his faith before recommitting his life to Christ in February of 1986. That December, he married Bonita Travis, beginning a lifelong journey together that would take them into ministry and family life. They were blessed with three sons—Travis (wife LaRynda), Dillon (wife Cassie), and Marshall, and five beloved grandchildren (three granddaughters and two grandsons): Salem, Solace, Saydie, Charlie, and Barrett.
The Princes began their ministry together serving as Youth Pastors under Bonita’s father, Bishop G.R. Travis, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. In the late 1980s, they relocated to Melville, Louisiana, spending six years in management at Med Express, a non-emergency medical transportation company. In 1994, Britt answered a long-standing call to full-time ministry, stepping out into itinerant evangelism for eighteen months. That path ultimately led them to Richland, Mississippi, where on January 23, 1996, Britt was elected pastor of First United Pentecostal Church, now known as New Destiny Church.
Throughout his pastorship, Britt developed a deep passion for creating accessible tools to help others study Scripture. In 1998, he wrote The Pentecostal Experience, a simple guide on the new birth plan of salvation that resonated far beyond his local congregation, eventually surpassing 100,000 copies in print and seeing translation into more than ten languages. He followed this in 2001 with The Godhead Revealed, a study designed to offer clarity on the scriptural identity of God, which he later revised and expanded in 2012. That same year, he published New Birth and The Gospel Revealed, while also updating a classic Prayer Wheel to guide believers in focused prayer and spiritual warfare. In 2025, he refreshed his complete library of studies and released a new title, Seven Men and Two Natures, making all of these materials accessible to churches and individuals worldwide through his website, brittprince.org.
Beyond his writing and pastoral duties, Britt remains committed to local community discipleship. Since 2019, he has served as one of seven teachers for a men’s Bible study group meeting twice a month in Richland, helping guide a group of roughly thirty men. Driven by a quiet dedication to the Word and a desire to share the gospel, Britt continues to assist churches in building their own Bible study ministries, serving as a patient, grounded mentor to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the Bible.
Pastor Prince reaches a significant milestone in his ministry this year. On September 20, 2026, the congregation will host a celebratory service marking both the church’s 80th anniversary and his 30 years of pastoral leadership, featuring guest minister District Superintendent Bishop David Tipton and special music by The Dunaways.
