Word Alive Revival Center

Apostolic revival in the Wiggins and Bond community began as a small trickle of hope in 1930 when Rev. Wesley Williams started a humble work beneath an oak tree in Bond, Mississippi. What began outdoors soon moved into an old shotgun-style house that was converted into a church. Furnished with simple pews, a pot-bellied stove, and a heartfelt atmosphere of worship, the little congregation quickly became a beacon of revival in the area.

That small trickle soon grew into a mighty stream as God honored the faithful prayers and dedication of those early saints. Many were filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, and during those years, few families in Bond and Wiggins were untouched by the impact of the Pentecostal movement.

As the church continued to grow, two Sunday School classrooms were added to the original structure, and the old shutters were eventually replaced with real windows. Soon, land was purchased for $420, and a new sanctuary was built to accommodate the growing congregation. That building faithfully served the church for the next thirty-two years while revival continued to flourish.

Because of the outpouring of revival and continued growth, the church eventually moved into its present location on Highway 49 on August 18, 1996. In 1998, First United Pentecostal Church became Word Alive Revival Center. God honored the vision and step of faith, and His blessings continue to this day.

Today, Word Alive Revival Center remains committed to being a light to the Wiggins community and beyond. With a vision for revival and a burden for souls, the church continues to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ through anointed biblical teaching, passionate worship, and powerful prayer.

Word Alive Revival Center is an Apostolic Pentecostal church that believes in the one true living God, the Lord Jesus Christ. The church is dedicated to making everyone feel warmly welcomed as part of the church family while encouraging each person to grow in a deeper relationship with God.

As a Bible-based church, Word Alive Revival Center seeks to build its beliefs and lifestyle upon the truths and principles found in the Word of God.

Today, the church faithfully continues under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Mike and Pam Dobbs, whose ministry and vision continue to guide the congregation forward in faith, revival, and truth.
