Trenton Pentecostal Church

Trenton Pentecostal Church in Pulaski, MS was established in September 1976 under the leadership of Rev. A.M. LaPrairie. Shortly after its founding, a church building was purchased and relocated to the present site. In 1978, just two years later, the congregation constructed a new church building to accommodate its growing ministry.

Rev. LaPrairie faithfully pastored the church until declining health led to his passing in March 2006. In May 2007, Rev. Carl Hall assumed the pastorate and served the congregation with dedication until his death in March 2019.

In September 2019, Rev. Carl Boothe was elected as pastor of Trenton Pentecostal Church. Under his leadership, the church is currently undergoing renovations as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and expand the ministry.

Brother Boothe brings extensive pastoral and evangelistic experience to the church. Prior to coming to Mississippi, he served on the pastoral staff at Bethel Tabernacle in Houston, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor and South Texas District Superintendent David Fauss, where he also taught the Adult Sunday School class. His ministry experience includes teaching and preaching in Africa and China, ministering to underground churches and underground seminaries.

Additionally, Brother Boothe has served in numerous leadership roles, including Sunday School District Secretary/Treasurer in the Georgia District; Sectional Foreign Missions Director and Sectional Sunday School Director in the Texas District; and Administrator and Pastor of Greater Faith Christian Academy in Nacogdoches, Texas. He has also established home mission churches in both Texas and Georgia and has been involved with Special Olympics outreach.

Brother Boothe holds a Certification in Environmental Studies from Texas A&M University–College Station, a Certification in Pharmacology from Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas, and has attended Texas Bible College.

He and his wife, Sister Shirley Boothe, have been married for 56 years. Sister Boothe is a licensed Mental Health Counselor and has served as Texas District Singles Director, taught junior youth camps in both Georgia and Texas, and spoken at numerous ladies’ conferences. She is also a volunteer with the American Red Cross.

Pastor and Sister Boothe continue to lead and serve the saints at Trenton UPC with excellence.
