Pastor Samuel Fulton, along with his wife and six-year-old granddaughter, began holding church on Sunday morning, April 3, 2011. God was dealing with Pastor Fulton to work with people from every nationality and walk of life—people desperate for Him. They were led to rent an old tire shop building as a meeting place for prayer services. At that time, they had no church members.
The building they rented had been closed for some time, with its contents still inside, so there was a lot of work to be done. Pastor Fulton and his family got to work preparing the building, though still with no one to preach to. God spoke to Pastor Fulton in prayer to preach that Sunday morning. He told the Lord, “I have no one to preach to.” God simply said, “Preach.” So Pastor Fulton preached to his wife and granddaughter.
After the service, they went to lunch, and Pastor Fulton felt led to return to the building. They had been back only a few minutes when a lady walked in and asked if she and her family could attend church with them. That evening, she brought her family—six adults and eleven children. God had promised that if Pastor Fulton would obey, He would send people, and from that first day until now, He has not stopped blessing.
Against all odds—and there have been many—God has blessed mightily. People have received the Holy Ghost who had never had it before, and Pastor Fulton and his family have witnessed many notable miracles. They now have a 6,000-square-foot building, fully paid for. To God be the glory!
Pastor Fulton and his family hold a yearly conference that is a tremendous blessing to both their church and community. This past year, at their 2019–2020 conference, they were privileged to host Reverend Gordon Winslow and Bishop Jeff Arnold. They welcome people from every culture and nationality and trust God to continue leading them in His will. Learning to walk by faith is essential; a building full of people is not faith, but walking by faith allows you to see the hand of God.
Pastor Fulton and his family extend special gratitude to their presbyter, Reverend Randall Dunaway. He has a heart of gold and has made their church—and Pastor Fulton and his family—feel connected to this great cause. Special thanks also go to the Mississippi District and Reverend David Tipton for welcoming them. Pastor Fulton now fully understands the men of God of old: when God said “Go,” they got up and went. God is faithful.
