New Albany Apostolic Revival Center

Founded in 1984 as the Apostolic Revival Center, church services began in Larry Woods’s home just off Hwy. 15 North in New Albany, Mississippi. Later, a building was rented on Beulah Road to hold services in; then, because of the burden and the vision of Brother Woods, along with the help of the Home Missions Department of the United Pentecostal Church, a building was purchased on the corner of Camp and Oak Street. When Brother Woods felt God’s calling to move on and start another church, Brother Lonnie Mitchell became Pastor, and he led the church to a closer walk and a more excellent knowledge of God’s Word until 1996.

Brother C.W. Dowden was elected Pastor, and a year later, a construction project resulted in a beautiful church building. Brother Dowden led the church to a deeper prayer life and consecration to God. He resigned in 2004. Brother Stephen Denton was elected Pastor and serves God in that capacity today. The foundation laid by these men of God is still strong. The preaching of the plan of salvation has brought church growth and revival. Apostolic Revival Center remains faithful to the Pentecostal Truth of the Life-changing Power of the Holy Ghost!

“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; one generation shall praise thy works to another and shall declare thy mighty acts.” (Psalms 145:3-4)
